Hi Goodwill Shoppers!
I have four things I want to fill you in on from this past month.
1. The week of May 5 – 10 was Goodwill Week! Throughout the week Katie (the home decor guru/Goodwill Blogger), Dina (from the popular lifestyle blog- Dina’s Days), and myself held talks on how to thrift shop like a pro! Mini DYI sessions were held with Katie, and the grand finale was on Saturday with a Style Challenge. Area fashion bloggers/students had 30 minutes to find an outfit under $20 and then the Goodwill shoppers got to vote on their favorite look (pictured). It was a fun filled week! If you missed it don’t fret, there will be other fun happenings in the future.
2. My favorite boots! Completely changing the subject… I found the coolest boots at the Goodwill on Waterloo in Akron. They are identical to boots I’ve been smitten with from Clarks (which are mucho expensive-o!). I also found a great little black bomber jacket, which I paired with my new shoes (pictured)!
3. I gave away five bags to Goodwill this past weekend (go me!).. so obviously I treated myself to a shopping trip. Spring cleaning rules.
4. Lastly, I realized my outfit was head to toe Goodwill on this lovely spring day! Sunglasses, shirt, cardigan, pants, shoes, BAM! Love it when that happens!
