If you know me, you know I am always up to something creative and unique like reporting on TV, hosting, styling, modeling, clothing swaps etc. I believe in doing whatever it takes to accomplish the goals you have! How can I get gifts on the cheap?
I’ve recently had the privilege by my friends at AMP Strategy to partner with blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE / in downtown Akron and I now have my own featured curated rack! This month, I have hunted down all second-hand items within their store that still have their original price tags. So, a collection of new-with-tags items for a fraction of their original cost!
What is blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE/ ?
The boutique (if you’ve never been…you have to go!!!) is made up of upscale clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories. The items are the ‘best of the best’ items that have come from other Goodwill stores and is a collection of higher-end brands. They carry mostly women’s fashion but also have a great selection of men’s clothing and items as well! I was able to find a great sweater for my fiancé Larry—and he’d been looking at several retail stores with no luck!
What sort of brands are at blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE/ ?
In my travels and shopping at the boutique, I was able to hunt down brands like Zara, MK, Coach and I even spotted some Burberry. This is a goldmine for label-concious shoppers and those who are wanting to stay on-trend as I also spotted some very ‘in-right-now’ block heels, tall boots, backpack purses and several clothing items like distressed jeans and trendy work wear!

What is on the Julie Holiday Curated Rack?
A HUGE SECRET I have is that when I am giving a gift, I sometimes look at local resale or consignment shops for items that have their original tags on them! I pay dollars for an item that is still “new with tags” and originally sometimes hundreds of dollars. It is such a life hack!! Birthdays, Christmas, etc gift-giving will never be the same!!
So…at the boutique, the rack I have put together features ALL items with their original tags on them so that you— you savvy shopper you—can buy gifts at a HUGE discount and yet still make your loved one feel appreciated and loved with an item that appears new from an over-priced retail store.

Pricing varies by item, for example on average you can find a blouse for around $12, jeans for $15 and dresses for about $20. The boutique also has INCREDIBLE manager’s specials every Tuesday-Friday and the discount could be up to 50% off of a certain clothing item. Check out this incredible black and white striped jacket (super in right now) that had the original tags ($69) on sale at blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE/ for $12!!! I’m in love!
