In 2013 I Resolve to…

Happy New Year Everyone!

Usually every January 1st, I have a heavy list of resolutions that I think are going to be life changing and usually fizzle about a month or two later. This year, I kind of feel like pulling up the covers and taking a long winters nap. So with that said, instead of the resolution list, I decided to compile a small list of things I already do regularly that I like and that help me better my life. So I guess I am just giving myself a pat on the back this year. . . I like 2013 already!  Here is my list.

1. Get rid of the clutter.
It is absolutely insane how much a family of four can accumulate (especially after the holidays).  I have already taken 3 loads to my local Goodwill store this year!  And since I have been so good about clearing the clutter, I even allowed myself a little shopping trip (it is a new year, after all)!

2. Tithe regularly (I love this one).
If you are not familiar with tithing, it is the act of giving. When you give back, whether it be paying for someone’s coffee behind you in line or donating to a special cause, it makes you feel good (it’s true, an act of kindness releases serotonin to your brain).  The universe is truly an awesome place and you get what you give, so let’s keep spreading the love!

3. Be open to change.
This was truly my mantra for the second half of 2012.  I recently moved my store and my home, which has been quite an adjustment, but I am trusting that life has put me on this path for a reason.

Thanks for letting me share my list with you!  I also wanted to share some of my awesome 2013 Goodwill finds (note- my husband has mixed feelings about my growing shoe collection.)

Enjoy!
