Donation Guidelines

“We thank Saint Sebastian Parish and its parishioners for partnering with us on our new Attended Donation Center for the West Akron community,” said Janet Morrison, vice president, contract and logistic services.  “It is important to offer convenient locations for our many generous donors.  Last year alone, we received more than 20,000 tons of treasures from 426,094 donors.  We appreciate every donation and maximize the value of each one – with at least 95 percent of usable items donated being sold, reused or recycled in some form.”

Donations allow Goodwill to provide a wide array of services in the community such as skill assessments, skill training, job coaching, job seeker assistance and work experience programs.  In 2012, the agency served more than 9,100 individuals and that was all made possible from generous donations of gently used items.
