(The Employment Resource Center (ERC) provides services for anyone seeking a new or better job. Services including job readiness, life skills and job search workshops are funded by the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services.)

ERC New Client Orientation:
Here’s your chance! Come see the wide variety of programs and services designed to help you find meaningful employment.
Orientation consists of a brief presentation, personalized interview, and tour of the Resource Room. It usually lasts under 90 minutes and is offered many convenient times each week. Call 330-633-1050 and sign up today!
Job Search Modules – Open to the Public
Know Your Skills: (Part 1 and 2)
Do you know what skills/qualifications you have that employers find of value? Do you know what qualifications you have for the job you are applying for? Part one of this course helps you to discover exactly what type of job you are most interested in and what career your skills and abilities are best suited for. Part two of the course teaches you how to conduct research about your particular occupation and how to best market yourself for a position.
Resumes That Work:
Put the power of a well-designed resume to work for you! This two-hour workshop will help you get the interviews, respect, and recognition you deserve from potential employers. No registration needed. Offered weekly. Call for specific dates.
Dynamite Interviewing Strategies:
Great, you’ve got the interview…now what? Learn how to wow ‘em and leave a lasting impression. No registration needed. Call for specific dates.
Networking Your Way to Employment:
Develop the key connections you need to succeed. This two-hour workshop helps develop your relationship skills and tap into “hidden” jobs you would otherwise never see. No registration needed. Call for specific dates.
Confidence Building Techniques:
Don’t let unemployment get you down. This two-hour workshop covers the tips and techniques towards maintaining a positive outlook during your job search. No registration needed. Call for specific dates.

Career Express:
A dynamic three-week course that will prepare you for a successful job search. Topics covered include building confidence, resume development, networking skills, interviewing techniques and more. Offered M-F 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Registration required.
Internet Job Search Workshop:
This workshop was designed to give jobseekers ‘hands on’ access to web-sites that are vital in making informed career decisions and in developing an effective job search strategy. Registration required.
GED Orientation:
Offered in Summit County on the First Wednesday through Friday of each month from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM. Registration required. Call 330-848-0037.
GED Classes:
Offered in Summit County Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30-4:30 PM. Registration required. Call 330- 848-0037.
