The Employment Resource Center offers a variety of classes and workshops designed to help you find employment. Please contact us at 330-633-1050 (Summit County) for specific dates and times or click the link below.   (The Employment Resource Center (ERC) provides services for anyone seeking a new or better job. Services including  job readiness, life skills and job search workshops are funded by the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services.)

 ERC New Client Orientation:
Here’s your chance! Come see the wide variety of programs and services designed to help you find meaningful employment.

Orientation consists of a brief presentation, personalized interview, and tour of the Resource Room. It usually lasts under 90 minutes and is offered many convenient times each week.  Call 330-633-1050 and sign up today!

 Job Search Modules – Open to the Public

Know Your Skills:
Do you know what skills/qualifications you have that employers find of value? Do you know what qualifications you have for the job you are applying for? This course helps you to discover exactly what type of job you are most interested in and what career your skills and abilities are best suited for; and teaches you how to conduct research about your particular occupation and how to best market yourself for a position.

Resumes Writing 101:
Put the power of a well-designed resume to work for you! This two-hour workshop will help you get the interviews, respect, and recognition you deserve from potential employers. Registration required. Offered weekly. Call for specific dates.

Mastering the Interview:
Great, you’ve got the interview…now what? Learn how to wow ‘em and leave a lasting impression. Registration required.

Job Readiness Express Workshops (1 & 2):
A dynamic course that will prepare you for a successful job search.  In these workshops participants will create job releated accounts and learn to navigate Ohio Means Jobs, identify skills, develop all resume related documents and participate in mock interviews.  Registration required.

Basic Computer Class:
This workshop is designed to provide instruction on basic computer operation and internet and email use instruction. Registration required.

GED Orientation & Classes:
