Goodwill Industries of Akron accepts donations of cars, trucks, motorcycles, campers, trailers, recreational vehicles and boats. All vehicles donated are resold at the Auto Outlet and revenue generated by the sale of donated vehicles helps support Goodwill’s mission. Therefore, Goodwill requests that donated vehicles be in saleable condition. (Costs associated with collecting and salvaging vehicles that we are unable to sell can reduce financial support for our programs and services.)
When you donate a vehicle to or purchase from the Goodwill Auto Outlet you are helping support Goodwill’s mission of helping individuals prepare for, find and retain employment in Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties.
Giving your vehicle to Goodwill is a donor friendly process.
How to Donate
- Drive your vehicle to Goodwill’s Auto Outlet
- Bring your Certificate of Title (must be in donor’s name with no lien holder)
- Title transfer will be done on-site
- Remove license plates on arrival
- Get a receipt
A letter will be sent to you within 30 days of the date of sale (or sooner) to notify you of the sale value that you may use for tax filing purposes.
If your vehicle is not drivable, please call 330-786-0284 to make special arrangements with the Auto Outlet staff.
